At Language Partners BC Co-op, this season’s language exchange programs included the theme of “Health & Medicine”. With the pandemic still ongoing, climate disasters in our province, and winter cold and flu season here, it can seem challenging to stay in good health. How can we shift our perspective to take better care of ourselves and our communities?

Join us at this event to hear from T’uy’t’tanat Cease Wyss, who will discuss their work on land remediation and share some stories about plant medicine, both connected to healing. T’uy’t’tanat Cease Wyss (Skwxwu7mesh, Sto:lo, Hawaiian, Swiss) is an educator, interdisciplinary artist and Indigenous ethnobotanist engaged in community based teaching and sharing.

After listening to our guest speaker, we will have the chance to talk in small groups about our reflections on healing, culture, and land, as well as language. Plus, giveaways from Skwalwen Botanicals!

This event is open to the public. We especially encourage people who do not speak English as a first language to join.

This event is supported by Vancouver Foundation’s Neighbourhood Small Grants.
